About the Position

Siemens Energy in Trollhättan is looking for an experienced NDT Inspector. The assignment starts as employment with Ikett Personalpartner, but there are good opportunities for transition to the customer.

About the Role

As an NDT Inspector within Gas Services Distributed, you will work independently with non-destructive testing (NDT) and dimensional inspections of components for gas turbines and packaging modules. The work often involves close collaboration with suppliers, and you will conduct inspections according to applicable specifications as well as technically and formally review the associated documentation. Inspections are primarily carried out at suppliers' sites. In case of deviations, you are responsible for clearly describing these from a technical perspective, communicating them further, and coordinating necessary actions together with cross-functional teams.

Your Responsibilities

• Prepare, conduct, and follow up on NDT and dimensional inspections on components for gas turbines and packaging modules.
• Qualify and develop suppliers and actively contribute to quality improvements of purchased parts.
• Prevent quality issues by developing and implementing preventive measures at suppliers.
• Analyze root causes of deviations and drive corrective actions together with suppliers.
• Implement preventive SQM methods and work with risk management in supplier-related processes, projects, and products.
• Initiate, follow up, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Proactively collaborate with global teams and internal stakeholders.

Your Profile

• Technical education in fields such as mechanics, welding, mechanical engineering, or equivalent (CWI, CWE, or similar is a plus).
• Certified according to ASNT, ISO 9712, or equivalent in VT, MT, PT, and UT, at least level II (LT is a plus).
• Several years of experience in NDT on larger steel structures.
• Good knowledge of quality methods such as 5 Why, FMEA, 8D, and RCA.
• Good collaboration and communication skills, as well as a structured working approach.
• Good knowledge of MS Office.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.
• Very good knowledge of English and Swedish in both spoken and written form.

The position involves travel, and you need to be prepared to travel up to 60% nationally and internationally. Hybrid work applies, with three days a week in the office when you are not traveling.

Desired start date: April 1 or by agreement.
